Bursa Textile Show Fair, organized under the leadership of Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) with the aim of strengthening the exports of the textile industry, opened its doors for the 8th time. Nearly 500 business people from 40 countries held bilateral business meetings with Bursa companies for 3 days at the fair where the heart of the sector beats.
Bursa Textile Show Fair brought together sector representatives and foreign business professionals for the 8th time. Organized by KFA Fuarcılık with the support of the Ministry of Trade, 133 companies presented their 2023-2024 fall-winter fabric and accessories collections to the visitors. More than 500 foreign buyers from more than 40 countries attended the fair held at Merinos Atatürk Congress and Culture Center. In the fair, foreign business professionals held bilateral business meetings with the participating companies in cooperation with BTSO's Commercial Safari Project and two separate Development of International Competitiveness (UR-GE) Projects carried out for the textile sector and UTIB. The opening cocktail of Bursa Textile Show Fair, which has become one of the brand fairs of the sector, was held with the participation of the city protocol.
In his speech, İbrahim Burkay, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BTSO, said that as BTSO, they carry out important projects at the point of opening companies to the world. Noting that the fair activities carried out by the Chamber are one of the export-oriented projects, Burkay said, "We are organizing the Bursa Textile Show Fair for the 8th time. Our fair undertakes an important mission to strengthen Bursa's position as a production and export center. Together with UTIB, we are making an important cooperation in order to maintain the power of Bursa and Turkish textile in the world market. Bursa Textile Show Fair has become one of the leading fairs in its field. Bursa is strengthening its position as the center where trends and fashion are determined day by day. This is very valuable and important."
Bursa Governor Yakup Canbolat stated that Bursa Textile Show Fair added strength to the exports of the sector and said, "An exciting fair was signed. We have seen here how high quality and branded products our business people from Bursa produce and how they appeal to the world market. As our BTSO President İbrahim Burkay said, Bursa Textile Show Fair, which is a brand for Bursa, is moving to a new area with the demand. Moving BURTEX to the fair center is a good decision. I wish that the organization will be instrumental in new business connections for the companies. I would like to thank BTSO, UTIB and our fair committee for the organization."
UTİB President Pınar Taşdelen Engin said, "It is a really good news that the next Bursa Textile Show Fair will be held at the International Fair Center. This fair was designed with a good strategy. In fact, the aim is not to organize fairs for fairs, but to organize fairs for companies. That is why I find it very valuable that it starts from here. It was a fair where the buyers needed by the companies here came. In Bursa, we have a textile background that is encoded in our DNA and is part of our culture. The textile industry is so well positioned in Bursa that we are in a city where all stages of the supply chain are produced. The Turkish textile industry is a sector that makes decisions incredibly fast and takes action quickly. I hope that our fair will be good for our sector."
