Bursa, one of Turkey's leading cities in the textile sector, hosted another important organization that will add strength to the foreign trade volume of the sector. Bursa Textile Show, which brings together Turkish textile manufacturers with buyers from all over the world, welcomed its visitors for the 9th time. Nearly 200 companies presented their 2024 spring-summer spring-summer garment fabric collections to the taste of industry professionals at the fair organized for the first time this year at Bursa International Fair and Congress Center.
Within the scope of the buyer delegations coordinated by BTSO and UTIB and the activities of KFA Fair Organization, more than 1,000 qualified foreign buyers from 70 countries, mainly from Europe and the Middle East, held business meetings with the companies. Organized in 4 halls, on a total area of 10 thousand square meters, the fair also featured trend areas and seminars where participants had the opportunity to discover the latest innovations in the sector. A total of 8 thousand local and foreign business professionals visited the fair where the heart of the sector beats for 3 days.
İbrahim Burkay, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BTSO, said that they left behind one more fair organization in 2023 within the scope of their efforts for the export-oriented growth of the Bursa business world. Stating that they hosted industry professionals from different geographies of the world in Bursa at Bursa Textile Show Fair after Junioshow Fair, which was visited by buyers from nearly 80 countries in January, Burkay said that they brought together the purchasing committees of important players of the industry from the USA to Japan, India to Spain, Russia to Jordan with the representatives of the business world at the fair. İbrahim Burkay said, "We completed the ninth Bursa Textile Show with the strong cooperation of stakeholders and the devoted approach of our textile industry representatives. Bursa is an important center in the international arena with its quality production and design in the textile and fabric sector. We want to strengthen our city's competitiveness in the sector. This year the fair has a different meaning for us. As a country, we experienced two major earthquake disasters centered in Kahramanmaraş in February. We will use the income of our fair, which we organize with the consciousness of solidarity and solidarity, to meet the needs in the earthquake region. At this point, I would like to thank all our companies for their support and sacrifices in this challenging process."
UTİB President Pınar Taşdelen Engin stated that international quality fairs have a great impact on the fact that Turkish textile is in a leading position in world trends and said, "Bursa Textile Show Fair, which we organized for the 9th time in Bursa, where all stages of the supply chain take place, contributed to the strengthening of the export momentum of the sector in this sense. In our 'Turkish Textile Network (TTN) Natureverse Reflect Vol 2' event within the scope of the fair, we presented the clothes produced entirely by TTN member companies at every stage from yarn to fabric, from design to finished product, to the appreciation of qualified local and foreign buyers. It is also pleasing that this spot is the center of attention. Within the scope of the Ecological Textiles Development of International Competitiveness Project, the B2B meetings held by the cluster member companies with the foreign procurement delegation resulted in important collaborations and opened doors to new markets. Bursa Textile Show, where sector representatives and foreign business professionals came together, turned into an organization above the country's standards. At a time when we are recovering from the earthquake, it is also very important that the income generated here is transferred to the region. While we are going through a difficult period as a country, we have increased our motivation by showing that Turkish textile, ready-to-wear and apparel is really very strong." Bursa Textile Show is on September 5-7, 2023.
İsmail Kuş, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of BTSO, said that fair organizations contribute not only to the export targets of the companies but also to the trade life of the city. Emphasizing that Bursa Textile Show, which welcomes its visitors with its new concept in its new location this year, will open its doors for the second time between 5-7 September 2023, İsmail Kuş said, "Bursa Textile Show, one of the most important meetings of the textile industry in Turkey, is growing every passing period. Our goal is to ensure that our sector demonstrates its experience in value-added production more in export markets. We will continue our work on this path."
